At the request of this beautiful couple, I got to go back to Gabbard Park! It was the perfect spot for this autumn engagement session. The weather was still a bit warm (it is Texas after all), but the love of John and Kimberly was even warmer. I met Kimberly this past summer, before she was engaged. We've had the opportunity to spend quite a bit of time together and so when she got engaged, I was thrilled she allowed me to photograph their engagement.
This pond and the autumn foliage made the perfect backdrop.
I love it when couples have a specific pose or theme in mind for their sessions. This next photo was one Kimberly had seen and requested. This angle was a first for me, but I just LOVE perspective. Notice the way the trees in the background have that beautiful blur? That is a beautiful display of what the photographers call 'bokeh.' And it sets off the rest of the photo beautifully!
John and Kimberly, thank you for giving me the opportunity to be your photographer! Ya'll are a joy and a light.
